Project selection

Objective:

In this lab students will choose a topic for their final project.  They can choose a group or individual project.  They can suggest a topic of interest to them or choose from the suggestions below.

Suggestions for final projects:

• Setting up  low-cost nonlinear optics experiment
• Producing a computer-generated hologram and viewing it using a HeNe laser
• Measuring the Stokes polarization parameters
• Determining the fast axis of a waveplate
• Observation of the Fresnel and Arago laws using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer
• Setting up working optical tweezers

You will find papers describing these experiments uner Modules on Canvas.  We will discuss some of the details during the lab session on Wednesday.
